They've been known for squeezing out the last penny out of any service they offer. Internet connections from MTN is a nightmare in Lagos (the experience is slightly different positively in places with lower subscribers). I'm not dissing, I've lost money with their USB stick modems and when you manage a number of them, you know the frustration that can bring.
The thing is when you pay for a monthly subscription or a daily subscription, you might not be able to get online like 40% of the time. The remainder of the time, the connection would be so slow you are better off offline. So it was with great pleasure that I learned that they, MTN had launched a new tariff platform that gives you at least an illusion of being in control.
The idea is to use what you pay for like some CDMA's in the country have been since they launched years ago. Anyway, here is table from their website stating the different options:

if u have money that u want to waste just subscribe to dis trash 4rm mtn... Their is fair usage policy once u download up to 50mb on ur pc their service will be miserably slow.. U wont even be able to open a page succesively without waitin till u exhaust the given hours
